Social Action Net is a new and growing network of people who are passionate about social justice through participation. Everyone in the network work in partnership and collaboration with the active involvement of people in decisions concerning their communities, services and lives.

Our network supports and facilitates practice, training, evaluation and research, as well as consultancy in the fields of public participation in health, youth and community work and person centred support. We seek to work in partnership to impact on social issues and support through public and community engagement and participatory practice. What unites us is our particular commitment to empowerment and participatory approaches to practice, evaluation and research, maximizing the involvement of community members, young people and service users.

The website is evolving and developing and we anticipate it will grow as people comment, give us suggestions and resources to include and join in.  There are a number of ways you can get involved –  signing up for the updates, using the resources, sending in resources and reports of your own for possible inclusion on the site, commenting on the blogg posts.  We hope Social Action Net will be a dynamic site and a place for discussion and debate.
